Gerda's Easy Biltong (Beef Jerky) Dog Treats

Recipe makes approximately 200 small treats


  • 500ml Whole Wheat Flour
  • 7,5ml Baking Powder
  • 85ml Coconut Oil
  • 125ml Hot Water (NOT Boiling Water)
  • 1 Egg
  • 45 - 60ml Powdered Biltong (Beef Jerky)

Ingredients for Biltong Treats


  • Pre-heat Oven to 190 degrees Celsius
  • Line a Cookie Sheet with Baking Paper at set aside
  • Combine Whole Wheat Flour and Baking Powder in large Mixing Bowl
  • Add Coconut Oil, Egg, Biltong and Hot Water
  • Carefully mix until a pliable dough is formed - Add Water if it is too dry or Flour if it is too wet
  • Roll Dough out with a Rolling Pin to 2-3mm thickness
  • Using Cookie Cutters, cut Dough into Shapes
  • Place Cookies on Baking Sheet, leaving space for them to spread and rise
  • Bake for 20 minutes
  • Let cool and store in an air tight container
