Gerda's Vegan Pumpkin Doggie Treats

Recipe makes about 40 larger biscuits


  • 750ml Whole Wheat Flour or Oats Flour
  • 10ml Baking Powder
  • 250ml Cooked Mashed Pumpkin (let the pumpkin cool down)
  • 45ml Smooth Peanut Butter
  • 125ml Hot Water (not boiling water)

  • Preheat Oven to 190 degrees Celsius
  • Line a Cookie Sheet with Baking Powder
  • Whisk together Pumpkin, Water and Peanut Butter until smooth
  • In an Electric Mixer Bowl add Whole Wheat Flour and Baking Powder
  • Add Water, Peanut Butter and Pumpkin Mix
  • Carefully Mix until all ingredients are well mixed - If the dough is too dry, add a little water, or if it is too wet, add a little flour until it is a workable dough
  • Place dough on counter and roll out to 2-3mm thick
  • Use a Dog Bone or other Cookie Cutter to cut the dough into shapes
  • Place cut shapes on the Lined Cookie Sheet, leaving enough space in between to spread and rise
  • Bake for 25 minutes
  • Let cool and store in an air tight container
